Affiliate Marketing: Letâs Get a Few Things Straight
Â
Internet marketing and making money by selling Internet marketing products is now a huge business. Just look at the search results returned for the phrase âmake money onlineâ and youâll begin to understand. So how do you know who to trust and who not to trust? Who is trying to sell you a song and who is going to help you become the next Internet millionaire?
There are the good, the bad and the just very bad when it comes to making money on the Internet.
There are some who would sell their own mother and then sell their grandmother in order to make a buck. From a wealth creation point of view that would be considered quite commendable but from a compassionate point of view it may be considered rather despicable behaviour. The material/product/system or as is not uncommon a basic poorly written eBook padded out with utter garbage these people sell to the naive in their search for the ultimate money making system.
These are the ones who make their money by keeping information from you. Albeit they sell you a system but there is always something missing which prevents you from making any real money. You are almost compelled to go back and purchase further systems, quite often an add-on or an additional product which would have helped you with your first money making programme. Yet, even after purchasing the additional system you will still struggle to make any money. The cycle continues usually until you reach a point when your bank manager calls you in for a chat about your spending.
Then there are the good guys. While their systems may have additional options or add-ons which complement your main money making programme, they provide you with a system which is fully capable of earning you some cash if you follow their programme correctly. Perhaps if these people have a fault it is in that they donât quite spell out the amount of effort required to fully implement their programme but that isnât the kind of information any of the others part with freely either.

So how do you tell the wood from the trees? Iâll start by saying that there are plenty of bad systems around, whether it is the fault of a poor product which has little chance of any success no matter how hard you are prepared to work at it, or the system is designed with one goal in mind and that is to rob you blind while making sure you come back for more. As for the other two; there are fewer of these around although it is most definitely easier to pick the very bad guy. I have seen some very good (colourful and artistic) webpage design with some very expensive looking graphics used on the very bad guyâs websites. The good guys, often have their own personal website and/or a membership site and they have often been around for a while. There are a couple of good guyâs in the U.K. who are genuine, honest guys and their systems do actually work. Not that youâll be making the amounts of money they are making in your first year though. A lot of the up and coming guys are simply rewriting old material and repackaging it as the latest and best thing to hit Internet marketing.
As Internet marketing grows youâll have to be extra cautious as there is more opportunity for the unscrupulous marketer to take your money and run.
